UMT MTK Latest Setup brings a ton of new features! You can now reset Vivo demo phones (both new and old methods supported), unbrick Samsung devices and flash TAR files with greater ease, create full backups or selective user data dumps, and write those dumps back to compatible devices. The update also fixes a startup dialog bug, improves formatting and writing functions, and includes minor UI tweaks.

Flashing Firmware:

  1. Select Files:

    • In the “Scatter File” tab, choose the MTK scatter file for your phone.
    • Select the Download Agent (DA) file and Authentication (AUTH) file (if needed).
  2. Put Phone in Download Mode:

    • Power off your phone.
    • Hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons together while connecting the USB cable to your computer.

Note: Some phones might require a special boot cable or test point to enter download mode.

  1. Flashing Options:

    • You can choose from various options like “High Speed Port,” “Format Download,” or “Without Battery” depending on your needs.
    • Click “Flash” to start flashing the firmware.
  2. Motorola FRP Reset:

    • Select your Motorola phone model.
    • Power off the phone and connect it to the computer.
    • Click “Reset FRP” to bypass the Factory Reset Protection lock.

Using Tools/FRP:

  1. Select Files:

    • Choose the Download Agent (DA) file. You can also use a custom DA file if available.
    • Select the Auth and Preloader (PL) files (if needed).
  2. Select Method:

    • Choose “By Model” and select your phone brand and model.
    • Alternatively, choose “By Platform” and select the MTK chipset and storage type.

Using Tools:

  1. Select Function:

    • Choose the function you want to use, such as “Read Info,” “Reset FRP,” “Read Pattern,” “Reset Locks,” “Disable Locks,” etc.
  2. Put Phone in Special Mode:

    • Power off your phone.
    • Connect it to your computer in the appropriate mode (EDL, Test Point, Fastboot, etc.) depending on the chosen function.

Other Functions:

  • Format Methods: Use the “Format (FS)” option to format your phone’s storage.
  • IMEI Repair: Repair your phone’s IMEI number using the “Meta (Old)” or “Meta (New)” method.
  • Reboot: Reboot your phone in Meta mode, Recovery mode, Fastboot mode, or using ADB.
  • Disable Locks (ADB): Disable locks using ADB (Android Debug Bridge).
  • Install Navigation Bar: Install a custom navigation bar on your phone.
  • NVRAM Tools: Backup and restore your phone’s Non-Volatile RAM (NVRAM).
